• i’m tryin to use wordpress to make my photo/portfolio site.

I would like the navigation to be a list of projects (containing some photos) AND a list of category, so you can choose to look at the photo projects by ‘kind’ or just browse the list of projects one by one.

To make a list of projets is seems the Page function is ideal, but in this case i can’t tag a Page with Categories… so i’m stuck with post.

    BUT

How can i make Wordpres to display a list of Posts (in alphabetical order) ?

Maybe it sound simple but i have no idea how to achive this and i’m afraid it would require to correct the Loop, things seems too complicated for my abilities…

I think i need your help, thanks by advance for any tip.

in the forum i found a way to

    – display the post in alpha order (but i don’t want to display the content of the post but have a list of post by title, its totaly different

    – a plugin called ‘sitemap generator’ but its inteded to use in a page (a sitemap page…) but me i need to display this list in my sidebar (in the same way as the Page list and the Category list)

Does anyone at least understand what i mean ??

    1. This is not “Advaced” – it’s simple How-To. (moved)
    2. There are quite a few photoblog themes. Did you try any?
    3. In the sidebar you could try the archive template tag with the proper parameters (e.g. daily)

    2. no, i thought it was pretty simple to do it myself as i have a clear idea of design i want etc. No i’m deep into it i’m gonna try to finish, i prefer not goint in too much directions in the same time…
3.your the first one on all the differents forums that point me to this function, i tried it and it really look like its exactly what i need to (blame me for bad searching…). You should be blessed for this ?? It really look simple and clear.
