make wp grins smilies clickable with the visual rich editor?

  • I have wp 2.0.1 and wp grins working in comments and in writing a post. For some reason, when writing a post the smilies are only “clickable” (add in the ?? to post after click) when I have the visual rich editor box unchecked in the options.

    When the visual rich editor is active, the smilies are shown, if I type ?? it shows correctly in the preview but is not clickable (doesn’t add anything at all to post when clicked).

    Any ideas on how to make the smilies clickable with the VRE running?
