• Hi,

    (Using Headway btw)

I want to make a paper background for my blog, and although I am learning a lot, I am not sure where to go from here. My blog is https://www.extravertedintrovert.com/ and what I am trying to do is similar to this theme (he copied what I had in mind :).)

What I believe I need to do to make the paper is to make a background for my header, body (tiled) and footer. To do this, I simply have to design everything in Photoshop and then cut all of this into three parts. Is this correct?

If it is, what I don’t know how to do is how to assemble everything onto my blog. Where can I find the code to make all the current backgrounds invisible? Where can I get the CSS code to add the paper header, body and footer on my blog?

    Much thanks for the input,

    Kev

  • If you’re using Headway, which is a commercial Theme, you should probably consult the developer for any Theme-specific support questions.

Just mentioned that so people would know why I am trying to make my own theme when I could just download the theme I mention in the post.

No; these questions are absolutely specific to your chosen Theme:

Where can I find the code to make all the current backgrounds invisible? Where can I get the CSS code to add the paper header, body and footer on my blog?

Nobody can answer those questions, because we don’t have access to the commercial Themes developed by Headway.

Yeah, but I’m guessing that the process to create a theme template is somewhat the same. No?

The process may be the same, but it is entirely Theme-specific. Without knowing the exact HTML markup and CSS class/ID attributes applied to that markup, the question is impossible to answer.
