Making a portfolio on start page

  • Hello,

    I would like to add an portfolio to my website. Something like here https://cynthia-sheppard.squarespace.com/
    so big pictures over the full screen.

    I am using the Tempera Theme.

    1. How can I set portfolio to my start page and make the Logo referencing to it?

    2. I tried some gallery plugins but I can’t find one that seems to fit really. All do little thumbnails. Any suggestions?
    I tried then to do this as posts, but I don’t want to show the portfolio under blog as posts. I tried for example The Post Grid plugin. But this causes of course the problem described above. I even failed to get photos in the posts, how can I add some to it?

  • For the portfolio page, use the built-in gallery shortcode and choose the size of the images to be medium or medium-large. Your theme should handle the responsiveness of the images. If you don’t like the styling, tweak it a bit with Additional CSS, such as margin: 0 if you like that look. You could do this with any of the plugins if you like the functionality but not the style.
