• I’m trying to make an archive page that works like a table of contents for a book. The book is broken down into sections, which I’ve assigned to categories, and each post is a numbered chapter. I’m trying to figure out how to list it so that it looks like this:

    Section 1
    ? Chapter 1
    ? Chapter 2
    ? Chapter 3

    Section 2
    ? Chapter 4
    ? etc.

    I’m not having much luck finding what I need in the codex, probably because I don’t really know how to search for what I want. I could do this with HTML easily enough, but I was hoping to find some code that would generate it (i’m using a custom theme).

    Anyone know any articles that could help me out?

  • What about Aleister’s sitemap plugin? You can configure it to control how it shows your posts, pages, and categories. It might work well if your categories and posts already are alphabetized in the order you want them listed, or if they have chronological post dates in the order you want them listed.

    @LK-
    It’s not exactly what I want in terms of graphical output, but it’s the closest I’ve gotten so far. Thank you!
