• I’ve been reading a lot about adding adsence to a wordpress blog, and mostly it would be modification of the scripting engine from the admin panel of wordpress. I want to be able to provide free hosting of the wordpress blog by an ad based system, and I was wondering if anyone knew how I could add google adsense, in for example the header, and footer without incorporating it into the admin panel so it can’t be removed… If anyone has any ideas please let me know, I’d really like it… Also if theres a way to make it one database, where user creation sets them up a dynamic url, and it would appear to be a completely differen’t blog, yet it’s all tied into one great blog, that would be great…

    Thanks everyone for your insput,

    -Robert P.

  • For the second part – probably you are looking at the wrong forum (and script).
    Try https://mu.www.ads-software.com

Moshu, thank you so much for that link, I’ve searched and for some reason I never once noticed it… I might possibly be blind methinks. I would still love if anyone has an idea about adding advertisements ( adsense, adbrite ) to a blog, making it unremovable/uneditable … If anyone knows if it’s possible, and has any ideas on incorporating it please let me know.. I’m looking for any ideas on the matter.

Sounds like you want WP-MU, with custom templates that all have ad spots pre-inserted into each template design. I presume this is what WP.com is basically doing.
