  • Hi JAYMICHAELIVING, can you provide a bit more explanation.

What do you mean by the following comment.

The EMAIL field is strictly being used to send a confirmation email that includes a unique code.

    Thank you

    What I mean by:

The EMAIL field is strictly being used to send a confirmation email that includes a unique code.

is that we are using the EMAIL field strictly to be able to capture an email in order for us to send an EMAIL CONFIRMATION to the individual who took the survey. Don’t get caught up with “a unique code.” This unique code is included in the confirmation email. It’s a dummy code that someone can enter on our site to get a % off their rent, etc., etc..

I just want to be able to send a CONFIRMATION EMAIL, but I know in order to do so, I have to have an EMAIL field in the body of the fast secure form.

If that is the case, how can I make the EMAIL field anonymous? They will still enter their email address, but when the information is emailed to me, the EMAIL field says: “N/A” or “Anonymous”?

Hi, thank you for the explanation. What you might look into is the following…

    Hidden field:
The hidden field is used if you need to pass a hidden value from the form to the email message. The hidden field does not show on the page.
Version 3.xx: You must set the label and the value. First enter the label, a comma, then the value. Like in this example: Language,English
Version 4.xx: You must set the field name and default value.

The above is from @mike Challis website.

If I set a field to hidden, and the attributes to hide, email, then the field does not show on the form, the user is unable to enter an email address; impossible to send a confirmation email.

If I set the field type to email, and then set the attributes to hide, email the email address still comes in when the form is submitted.

They need to be able to enter their email address, but when I receive the survey, their email address should not show up. Therefor, making the survey 100% anonymous.

    Any way to do this?

Try the following in Advanced Form And Email Settings. Enable the following option.

Enable to skip names of non-required and unfilled-out fields in emails

Make sure that you set the Email field as not required. This is just a theory of mine.

Let me know how you go.

    Didn’t work.

Still received the email address that was entered in to the survey form.

Here is the form for you to take a look at:
    https://www.flatschicago.com/flats-resident-survey/

Hi in your form above you have Email as a required field. Did you change the field to Not required?

This is just indicating that the fields marked “*” ,throughout the survey, are required. The Email field is not required.

Hi read the following URL, I think this option might work for you. I am not 100% certain though.

Hi JAYMICHAELIVING, has your issue being resolved?

This issue has NOT been resolved.

Hi JAYMICHAELIVING after some investigation, your options is not available with this plugin. You can send a support ticket to @mike Challis the developer.

Can you mark this support ticket as resolved because this option is not available in the plugin now.

    Kind regards
