    Hi 1a-spielewiese,

it’s a little hard to understand what you mean.
Do you mean the collapsing of the footnotes list by default?

We will change the behavior of these hyperlink jumps in the near future so it may be best to wait for a new release and try again if it works then?!

Yes, with “hide” I meant that, what is called within the German version ‘zusammenklappen’; in the English version is said: ‘collapse’:

    Hi 1a-spielwiese,

since release version 1.5.3 we changed the behavior of the hyperlinks between the footnotes number inside the Post content and the Reference Container.

As soon as the user clicks the footnote number inside the Post content the side “jump” to the reference container and automatically collapse it.

Hope everything works fine for your.

No sorry, not yet. Clicking on links like that:

    https://1a-spielwiese.de/2014/09/21/plugins-die-wir-benutzen/#footnote_plugin_reference_1

should open (un-collapse) the reference container.

    Hi 1a-spielwiese,

that feature isn available yet (don’t know if it is possible to implement in the future).

    Reason:

To add the name of a html element to the link (#footnote_plugin_reference_1) will move directly to this anchor after page is loaded. But html can’t change attributes of any html elements (e.g. to expand the Reference container). This has to be done via Javascript (client base programming language).

I have to check if Javascript can read html element names appended to the url. If so, the Plugin can read this html element name, check if it a footnotes anchor and expand the Reference container if linked to it.

Thank you, I understand the problem.
