Making my pages into posts

I added a page in addition to my about section on my blog for a picture project I am doing. I want to make this page have regular posts just like the front page. I have looked up https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Pages#Page_Templates and tried creating a .php pageofposts template but it does nothing when it is selected. Any help would be appreciated. I am using the suffusion theme.
