• I want my posts page to be my homepage, and I also wanted to have a link to that page from the main menu. So I went to settings-reading, and I selected “a static page” to be my front page. From the drop down menu, I chose post-page, home. This worked, and now the page “home” is the front-page, and it shows my posts. However, when I did this, the page suddenly got two headers on it. (I guess one from the posts page, and one from the home page)
How do I undo this, and make it only have one header??

    Thanks.

  • Poor theme design – did you start first with tested default theme to test all site functionality?

There is no way to have only one header there??

    I did not, no.

The usual basic troubleshooting steps are

    • Temporarily switch to the Twenty Twelve theme
    • Deactivate all of your plugins (no exceptions and also temporary)
    • Clear your browsers cache and cookies

Then try and see if that “page suddenly got two headers” problem came back. If it doesn’t then it could be your plugins so reactivate them and re-test.

If it still doesn’t come back then it’s most likely your theme and you’ll need to contact the vendor you purchased it from for support.
