• Hi I currently use Astra for the theme and Elementor for the content.

Astra is working great but using Elementor means there is a lot of unnecessary and unused code that loads with my webpages.

As Astra is a simple lightweight theme designed with performance in mind it seem a shame to use it with Elementor which adds lots of unnecessary bulk to websites.

Any chance of an Astra writer giving a guide on ways to make webpages more lightweight while keeping a responsive layout that I can control between screen sizes.

I’me thinking that using Guteburg with some responsive layout plugins could I could make the same webpages without the bulk of Elementor?

    Thanks
    Stephen

  • Hi @slservice33,

Using a page builder, e.g. Elementor, it’s really up to the user and depends on the user’s needs. Astra is a theme that will work with or without a page builder.

If you think Elementor doesn’t fit your needs, from a speed perspective, you can still use the default Gutenberg editor to build/create your site.

I hope that clarifies and clears any confusion you may have.

    Kind regards,
    Herman ??
