I really like Zedity, it is simple and intuitive, I upgraded.

However I notice my Contributor level users cannot get the benefits of Zedity as they Z button is not appearing for them. This limits what I can do with Zedity and I did not expect is as I wanted all my contributors to be able to put together great posts. Is there a way I can change this?

    Hi Venutius,

Thank you for using Zedity and for your positive feedback about it.

Yes, that can be done. Let’s start saying why it is not like that by default.
The “unfiltered_html” capability is required to manage the Zedity contents. If you want to use Zedity with a Contributor role, you have to assign the “unfiltered_html” capability to the Contributor role, or to any other role you wish to use Zedity with.

So, how do you do that? While, as of now, there’s no default role editor in WordPress, there are many plugins that enable you to edit user roles and assign the “unfiltered_html” capability to your collaborators.

That’s it. If you need further information (or if you cannot find any plugin to edit user roles) please feel free to contact us again.

    Thank you.
    Regards
