Malicious files found by WordFence plugin

  • It seems that this plugin generated a couple of malicious files, as detected by WordFence….

    Two files (I changed my site name)

    wp-content/cache/supercache/www.my-site.com/meta-wp-cache-455be5537ce4cbedfe3cc02fccbfe3a9.php

    wp-content/cache/supercache/www.my-site.com/wp-cache-455be5537ce4cbedfe3cc02fccbfe3a9.php

    Need opinions on this.

    I have deleted those files….

    So far, no….

    They were cached files off your website. The plugin itself didn’t create the malicious code.

    I’m having the same issues. I believe this is a false positive. I talked to my hosting provider after I ran some server malware scans and the file came up as well as UNOFFICIAL for malware or malicious code. Plus he indicated it’s in the cache folder.

    Critical Problems:

    * File appears to be malicious: wp-content/cache/object/000000/519/7dc/5197dc4fb70e1893e2fef3d2b50f75c5.php

    * File appears to be malicious: wp-content/cache/object/000000/a5a/08c/a5a08ca1a1ec5e2b05e18203cfda4f2e.php
