    Hi!

I got an email from Google Ads telling me that my ads could not be approved because it contains malicious software. Then they just sent me a list as you can see in the link of things that should be edited/removed.

I can not understand what the problem is since I can not find any malicious software and the lins they are refering to are just normal links to css, javascript and plugins like for example woocommerce.

    Email from Google

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi Joel,

To my knowledge you will need to contact Google in a case like this. If you think that this is a false positive then, the only way to have Google reconsider your ad is to connect with their Support and go through their suggestions to prove the ad rejection was an error. Then, resubmit the ad for review.

    Kind regards,

I have contacted Google and all they can do, they said, is to send me this list that I linked to here. I can find nothing wrong with Woocommerce or WordPress.

    Hi Joel,

Does the list maybe contain any hints to what you are suppose to be looking for?

    Kind regards,

No, not what I can see at least. Also the ads manager at Google was very confused when he got the list from another department at Google. He said that usually it is easy to find the problem and the list is not that long. But in this case it is very long and contains links to things that should not be suspected.

So to be honest I do not have a clue at all.

    Hi @joelmellin

    That’s strange!

I see some of the files are from core WordPress, so this shouldn’t have any malicious code most probably unless your site is infected with malware.

Also, as an example, I tried matching the contents of the file below with my test site, and it was exactly the same:

    https://mellins.nu/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/assets/js/frontend/woocommerce.min.js?ver=6.1.2.

This indicates it may be a false positive from Google.

I’d suggest reaching out to them again with the information above.

    Thanks,

I will tell them this and wait for their response.

    Thanks for that!

If you don’t mind, would you please consider taking 2 minutes to leave your review here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/view/plugin-reviews/woocommerce#postform – so that others can see the positive experience you’ve had? We would certainly appreciate it!

    Thanks!
