I am getting malware notifications of cache files and was wondering if anyone has ran into this issue and how they have resolved it. I manage over 12 websites and this one is the only one I am having this issue with and they all are using the same cache plugin. Please advise. Thank you

Hi @wppluginsrenuity, thanks for reaching out.

It’s not out of the question for cache files to be hitting false-positives during a scan, and some people may choose to ignore those paths from Wordfence’s scan in their settings. However, as you’re seeing this with one site only it may be worth checking.

You could provide the file in question to samples @ wordfence . com to get further advice on if/how it may need to be cleaned. For security reasons, just remember to remove any passwords or keys/salts from any files you do send us.

    Thanks,
    Peter.
