Malware in slimstat?

Yes I would like to know too if this plugin has changed hands.

Hi all, we reached out to WordFence. Not sure why they decided to throw our name into the mix without reaching out to us first. So we are trying to do some good old damage control.

Please, rest assured that Slimstat hasn’t changed hands. You can tell from how active the support forum is, and from how I answer all support requests. If it had changed hands, you would notice a difference in the style or “quality” of our support, wouldn’t you?

Also, please note the timeline on this security vulnerability discovered in Slimstat a few weeks ago:

We replied within the SAME BUSINESS DAY and 4 days later the fix was already out. If that doesn’t speak to how we stand behind our product, I don’t know what does.

You are doing a great job Jason, thanks again for providing this great plugin, for free, to the community. Been configuring city tracking on two sites now, and it seems to work very fine.

I highly recommend Slimstat Analytics to everyone looking for a simpler and more private alternative to Google Analytics.
