Updated Wordfence to 7.4.4. Ran scan and still have the Malware Scan yellow icon and the following message “Details: The option “Scan files outside your WordPress installation” is off by default, which means 1 path and its file(s) will not be scanned for malware or unauthorized changes. To continue skipping this path, you may ignore this issue. Or to start scanning it, enable the option and subsequent scans will include it. Some paths may not be necessary to scan, so this is optional. Learn More

    The path skipped is ~/forms

  • I had the same problem after the 7.4.4 update. In my case there was the path ~/www. I’m not exactly sure why that was there because none of my other sites in the same account had it. So I removed it, because I figured it isn’t needed, and WF now scans with no notices.

Does ~/forms need to be there? Can it be moved into your WP installation somewhere?

    Hey @dramsay and @sean-h,

There was a bug in the 74.4 version. Can you please update to the most recent 7.4.5 version (if you haven’t already) and let me know if it helps?

    Thanks,

    Gerroald

All my sites are on the latest version of everything and seem to be working/scanning fine.

    Hey @sean-h,

Thanks for the update, and happy to hear it.

Please let us know if anything else comes up.

    Thanks,

    Gerroald
