• Hi
My wordpress site https://www.Jimmyfro.com was suspended because I was either hacked, or my hosting co is hard up for cash, and is shaking me down for $200 to clean and replace the following lines of PHP. I would rather pay for WP Essenials at $3 / mnth than pay them 200.00 I have no clue how to do this, other than seek out line for line at the ftp page, and cut n paste into a PHP cleaner. Any advice? Does WP Essentials come with cleaning, posting, tech support?
I have attached another copy of that infected or malicious files at the bottom of this email.

    Sincerely,

  • Have you asked WP Essentials what they provide for this? I think they’d be the only ones that would really be able to answer your question.

From what I could see, it doesn’t look like they do clean up, but I could be wrong (again, they’d need to tell you).

For something like this, $200 is actually a very reasonable price, and you’ll need it done by someone to get the site back up and running.

I’m confused about how to contact a word press essentials CSR? I don’t want to just click n buy, without knowing if a. they can take a site already created and upgrade it to WP E, and b. if cleaning the malware scripts is part of the upgrade. So can anyone direct me how to contact a representative / sales clerk, etc of WordPress Essentials?

It depends on what version you mean.

If it’s the plugin in this site, then you can post in their support forum: https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/wp-essentials

If it’s the commercial site, then they have a full supprot section on their site: https://www.wp-essentials.net/support/

Just remember that they are not connected to WordPress, so there’s most likely no one here that can help with questions apart from them.
