Hello– I have received a malware warning by CleanTalk Security…

On this as the path: /wp-content/wflogs/config-synced.php

And this message: These files may not contain malicious code but they use very dangerous PHP functions and constructions! PHP developers don’t recommend to use such code. Besides, it looks very suspicious.

    Please advise.

Hi @va-cape, thanks for letting us know.

We don’t believe a threat is likely in this case as “Advanced blocking” settings are included that file, making it particularly likely to be picked up by other security software as a false-positive when a rule is too sensitive.

You could send your current config-synced.php to samples @ wordfence . com. They should be able to analyze the file and let you know if CleanTalk is reacting to code that is rightfully present in that file.

    Many thanks,
    Peter.

Hi @wfpeter, thanks for your quick reply. I thought it might be a false/positive and CleanTalk cloud analysis team have returned a ‘SAFE’ verdict.
