• Just wondering if it’s normal with MAMP that in relation to having a local build of a wordpress site that if you create an absolute link like ‘/testgoingsomewhere’ it actually goes to the root of my htdocs folder and not the subfolder that wordpress is installed in?

I have correctly setup the WordPress Site and blog URL to the subfolder so I’m not sure why this is happening.

  • By default MAMP uses the /htdocs folder as its root. You can change it under preferences Apache: Document root
