MAMP local install on Mac

What instructions are you following?

If you setup your DB and installed WP correctly you should be able to access it at https://localhost/ or localhost/wordpress depending the folder you installed it.

On a default MAMP installation, the URL for your site is:

https://localhost:8888/folder_name_where_site_is

For example, if you set up your WP site in:

Applications/MAMP/htdocs/wordpress then you would access it with:

https://localhost:8888/wordpress

Thanks to both of you. Was following the instructions but the file path I was typing into my browser window didn’t seem to be connect, with confirmation I was following the steps correctly I kept trying and finally it went through, must’ve had a space or something. Would’ve sworn I had tried “https://localhost:8888/wordpress” a few times.
