Mamp Moving Live Database Local

    Hello,
    I just wanted to post the issue I am having and see if I am doing something obversely wrong.

    I want to bring my wordpress site local so I installed MAMP and brought over all the files.

    I downloaded the database can uploaded it to my local mysql install. then change the wp-config file with new info. When I hit the sites it asks me to create site name.

    what am i doing wrong. It should just have all my old data and its not showing up any clue whats wrong?
