Manage Ad Widget – Rules not working

    Hi,

    I have installed wp-insert and set up a few Ad Widgets. On one of the widgets that I want only to appear on a particular category page, I set the Rules to Category > Hide Ads and then added the Categoryid in the Exceptions box.

    However, the ad does not show up at all.

    Any ideas??

    Its the reverse. You added a category exception; that means the ads wont appear on that particular category.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the quick response. When I do the reverse, eg – Show Ad Wodget with an exception of a specific category – it still does not work. It still shows up on the category page that I excluded.

    This will only work if you are using actual category pages (archive.php, category.php etc). If your theme has some other provisions to display categories it wont work.

    Can you share the URL to the category page where this happens.

    We are using category.php for the category pages. Our site is in staging so I do not want to publicly post the link. Can you send an email to [email protected] and I will email you back with a link to the page.
