• Hi friends,

    I updated from AAM 5.11 to 6.0 before that I could give permissions to my article editors as follows:

    Category Management enabled allowed me to:
    ?a) See the categories
    ?b) Change an article of a category
    ?C) Assign a category to a new article

    But it did not allow:
    ?a) Delete a category
    ?b) Create a new category

    How can I do that with version 6.0 …, it will be possible…?

    Thanks a lot…
    Luis

    @lemdeals,

    Yes, it is possible. Basically you need to define access to define default access to all your terms that belong to specific taxonomy.

    Note! I’m using here terminology the way WordPress core defines it.

    I’m assuming that you are talking about post categories so the rest of this answer is going to be using category word that represents a term of the category hierarchical taxonomy (might be slightly confusing, but that it how it is internally defined in WP core).

    So in your case you need to go to Posts & Terms tab and for the Category taxonomy, restrict the ability to DELETE and CREATE NEW options. You would need to have Plus Package add-on in order to define these settings.

    Regards,
    Vasyl
