After upgrading to wp 4.4.1 and upgrading to NGG 2.1.23 and I’m having missing gallery and settings problems. “No entries found” under the manager gallery and album pages but the overview page says I have 7 albums 21 images. Under Other Options I updated “Where would you like galleries stored?” to wp-content/gallery/ and that got the system to add new folders to /gallery (seen through FTP) and SQL entries for when I create new galleries but still “No entries found”. I also noticed the Gallery Settings page doesn’t show correctly with section headings and options and Save doesn’t submit.

@jeyt – I would suspect some sort of conflict but not specifically with WordPress 4.4.x and NextGEN Gallery … have you tried deactivating all of your plugins, clearing your browser cache (and site caches if you are using a caching plugin), then reactivating the NextGEN plugin?

If this fixes the problem then it was likely one of the deactivated plugins that was causing an issue. Now, retrace your steps activating each plugin and re-checking to see if the problem returns. If it does then that last activated plugin was probably the one. Keep reactivating and in most cases it is also best to keep checking after each plugin, sometimes there may be more than one plugin on a site that will create an issue. If you do find one (or more) plugins causing this problem we would greatly appreciate your feedback on them so the developers may address them as soon as they can.

Also to note, in rare cases it may be the theme itself that is causing a conflict so while you have just the NextGEN plugin activated you might consider temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress Twenty series themes and see if this corrects the issue as well.

If the problem still persists after all of this we would still want to know, even more so, as we will still want to sort out the issue and may need additional details.

    Thanks!

I’m having the exact same issue.
    Hope you can help…
Before i updated a client’s site i went and created a duplicate site on a different (more familiar) server and upgraded that first. All went well on this duplicate site so I upgraded my client’s site and this one has the same issues as JeyT above. On the overview, it correctly states I have 87 image and 20 galleries but on the Manage Galleries page the list is empty. If I create a new gallery, it confirms gallery with ID no (e.g. 20) has been created but still the list shows empty.
I’ve gone through all the settings and they match the duplicate site. I’ve turned off all other plugins, cleared cache and tried with a WP Twenty theme – still the same. I’ve checked permissions are same as on duplicates server. Completely baffled (and client disgruntled)

    Also…
I’ve also tried removing and reinstalling the plug in and creating a new folder for images in wp-content and changing image options to this folder.
    Still nothing.
The only difference I’m aware of between this site and the working duplicate site is the server.
    Does this give any clues?

    – I’m not using a caching plugins and I’ve disabled all other plugins but no change.
    – I’ve tried gallery management in chrome/IE with no change in behavior. Not a browser cache issue.
    – I applied the most recent updated Twenty Fourteen theme but no change. Gallery Settings still not functioning, no galleries listed under the manage page.

@jeyt – Please try our external Reset Tool plugin here: https://bitbucket.org/photocrati/nextgen-gallery-reset/get/default.zip

To install and activate, go to Plugins > Add New … Upload Plugin
To use, go to Tools > NextGEN Gallery Reset

We do not offer specific support for the Reset Tool plugin as is but it can help in many circumstances, please let us know if it does.

    Thanks!

The reset didn’t work. All issues are still present.

Since I have so few images it’ll take less time to just move to a new gallery solution. Hopefully the devs can work through this with someone who’s heavily dependent on ngg gallery.
