This is going to sound a crazy request but I would like user with a specified role I have created to be able access the “manage members section” without being given any access to the backend of the site.
I am aware of possible security risks however the site I am developing is a simple low risk members site using ARmember – lite version. The site is for a sports group and I would like the members secretary to be able to add members manually via the “manage members page”.

Maybe I am looking for a way to access this page without adding administrator privileges. The site is exclusively using frontend access for creating/editing/deleting post etc once logged in via ARmember.

    Hello,

As per your request it seems that you are willing to allow the “Secretary” to be able to access the “Manage Members” page without having access to whole backend, if so the ARMember does provide different capabilities for each admin page available at the ARMember.

You can assign this “arm_manage_members” capability to the member using an “Advanced Access Manager” plugin which allows you to add the capability to the member according to your requirements.

Please check accordingly and let me know how it goes.

    Thanks

Hi I am still struggling to find a way of showing this in a frontend page without having to enter the wp-admin section. Any tips would be most appreciated.

    Hello,

As I understood your request it seems that you are willing to allow them to view this page on the front-end if so then unfortunately it will not be possible to bring up this page on the front-end. You can allow the access to Manage Members page to the members having Secretary role but they can access this page from the admin panel.

However, ARMember Lite does offer an inbuilt addon “Social Feature” which you can activate from the ARMember Lite -> addons page, this provides a facility to have a Members Directory which shows up as a members list on the front end. Using WordPress shortcode:

    [arm_template type=”directory” id=”2″]

You can configure the member listing from the ARMember -> Profile & Directories page at “Members Directory Templates” section click on “Edit Template Options” button.

Please check accordingly and let me know how it goes!

    Thanks

Ok thanks for your response it does not really help what I am trying to achieve. I will use the first option and use the backend solution.
