Manage Themes preview not working

Deactivate all plugins, revert to Twenty Eleven theme and try again. If that resolves the issue, you can locate the problem and reinstall your current plugins and theme.

Backup everything including database before troubleshooting.

Hi tried that, I had already deactivated all plugins and I reverted to Twenty Eleven – same outcome just empty boxes with text.

Hi there, I even deleted the install of WordPress and re-install and still the same issue – could someone please help.
Is this happening to others also???

Gave that a go, so the bottom of the wp-config.php file says:

define(‘CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS’, false );
require_once(ABSPATH . ‘wp-settings.php’);

Unfortunately no luck – still showing only boxes with no images. How can I send you a screen dump?

– Updated the wp-config.php so it looks like this at the bottom of the file:

Try adding define('SCRIPT_DEBUG', true); to the bottom of your wp-config.php file (just before the require_once line).

As you have tried all perceivable trouble shooting steps, these are the only steps you can try now:
– Revert to Twenty Twelve and see if it helps
– Go to permalinks and just re-save it (nothing to be changed)
– Backup everything including database. Manually update WordPress, i.e., delete all files and folders except wp-content and replace the old files.
– Cleanup everything, reinstall WordPress manually and restore your site from backup
– Contact your host for support with the issue.
– Check if your hosts have reconfigured your server in view of the recent Brute Force attack on servers globally.

this has been resolved – i contacted my host and they fixed it.

It was a # sign that needed to be added to the front of a rewrite rule in the public_html\.htaccess file.

Putting a # in front of a rewrite rule simply disables the rule. You might have needed the rule for other reasons when the site is running in production. What was the rule?
