Manage what content the user are able to edit
-
I work as a “one man company” web developer and I’m trying to not use to much plugins on my pages. Now I’ve stumbled upon a problem and I hope anyone have any good ideas. I’m making my own themes for each client and then use the pages for content. I mainly fill the pages with HTML but when the client is taking over the webpage it’s very easy for them to “damage” the code when they try to edit texts and images with the wysiwyg editor.
I’ve tried plugins such as Siteorigin or Content Block but I’d like to not use to much of third party plugins.
Does anyone have an idea on how I can “lock” my code and only let the user edit the content or can I use some sort of content manager?
I’ve also tried to work with the Theme Customizer but I think the amount of editable areas are to many for this case.
I’d really appreciate any kind of advice or tips in how to move forward.
