I’m doing something wrong. I searched the support forum before posting, but “links” seems to be a very popular keyword.

I have a WordPress blog. As best I can remember the only changes I’ve made are through the administator functions. I’ve added links and a link catagory. However these links only show up on the main blog page. If I click into a specific catagory or a archive by month link, my links aren’t there. Further if I click to a specfiic post, my links aren’t there. Is there a way to make my links to appear throughout my blog site?

    1. Pick another theme – in quite a number of themes that happens by design: there is a conditional (if) statement in the sidebar code that says ‘display this only if we are on the homepage’
    2. Edit your theme’s sidebar.php template file

    moshu,

Thanks a bunch. What’s scary is I was able to make the change. I was also able to move my added linkes to the top of the sidebar. So now I’m on the slippery slope of creating my own theme.

So now I need to figure out how to protect my changes when upgrades to WordPress are installed.

You do NOT over-write or replace your wp-content directory during an upgrade (if you’ve ever read the instructions for upgrade:). And the themes are in that directory…
