Managed to get it working eventually!

  • It works a treat when it works…. but it was a bit of a pain to get it to work!

    The instructions are not so clear. So basically please make sure you do the following when using this extension:

    – first you may want to increase the timeout of Apache depending on the size of the website you intend to duplicate
    – make sure you disable ALL your extensions first
    – then re-enable the Clone Duplicator extension on the network
    – proceed with the duplication you want to perform
    – when duplication is complete, re-enable all the extensions
    – make sure to edit your sub-site URL (if it needs HTTPS for example)
    – finally, goes without saying but make sure you have created your DNS entry for your subdomain and the corresponding VirtualHost on Apache

    Very convenient extension. Saves a lot of time and hassle.
