    Hi there,

I want to purchase the pro version of the plugin, but we have been encountering issues with membership billing.

a lot of members will sign up with one card then want to use another card after to pay for the continuing subscriptions.

We found out that you can use a Membership billing page to collect the new card information.

But if a customer updates that card through Membership billing page, is Stripe going to automatically recognize the new card and charge them on the original billing date?

Or is this something we have to manually cancel in Stripe?

There is little to no documentation about how members can update the card they want to use and how merchants should react to this situation. Right now every time someone someone wants to use a new card, they will have to call our company to update that card information directly in stripe and we have to set their membership level to non-paying in order to make it work in our system.

We’d like to have it where customers can update subscription payment card themselves and the billing will automatically sync with Stripe.

Would like to know that before we purchase. Thank you!

Thank you for reaching our, @brandedhair2019

By updating the billing details on the Edit Profile Page, this will notify Stripe of the change and update it on Stripe’s side for the respective customer’s profile too.

Functionality has been added to Paid Memberships Pro core to provide full support for Stripe’s billing features.

To add to the above, users would need to update their details via the Membership Billing page. Sorry about that.
