I have both the free and the premium versions of your plugin. Since the beginning of December, MangeWP service has not been able to backup the site. I noticed that on a staging site replica of the site WP Fastest Cache was disabled and the backup went fine. So, I disabled both versions and tried a manual backup on ManageWP dashboard and it completed fine. Then, I activated the free version and tried another backup and it completed as well. Until the end of November I have not had any problems with the backup for about four years.

I am not sure which version may be causing the problem. But they report as the following part of their message shows, there is an error message their system receives and aborts the backup. Your urgent attention to this problem will be much appreciated.

Regarding our logs, there is not much that I can provide you regarding this issue as we are only seeing the “empty table hash” error message, however, I will provide you with the timestamp from the last one, it could be valuable to your hosting provider – 2020-12-09 11:30:06.141 +0000 UTC

We are sending our POST requests through the /wp-load.php* page on your website, and we try to reach your website over port 80 or 443 and also we are using a random backup IP from our list to send the requests to your server for every initiated backup process, so they should check them all up.

We have never received any reports about this error before. did you try with a fresh wp installation on sub-domain?

@emrevona, thank you for your quick reply. No, I did not try that. But, I disabled both versions of WPFC and the backup completed. After that, I enabled the free version and ran one successful backup and then enabled the premium version and ran another successful backup. Now, they are both active, and caching is continuing. I will see how it goes for the next couple of days. One thing is for sure, deleting the cache and disabling these plugins made the backup work. I will report again after a couple of days as the cache builds up. This is the first backup day since December 1. I am mentioning the date in case it may coincide with an update release.

    Thank you,

    Update:

After a good amount of cache build, the backup a few minutes ago completed again with both regular and premium versions of WPFC completed. The actual causes are beyond my pay grade, but I know for a fact that disabling both versions fixed the problem, perhaps by making some changes in the database. Does “empty table hash” mean anything related to WPFC, disabling the plugin, or anything in that vicinity?

At this moment, my problem seems to have gone away. I am curious how disabling these plugins could have given the system a proverbial Heimlich Maneuver. Any information that may prevent future similar problems for me or other users will be welcome and much appreciated.

    Thank you,

    Cemal
