Once activated, the “GDPR-Compliant ReCaptcha” plugin began instantly blocking legitimate spam in the non-explicit mode default configuration. Just what I have been looking for.

However, it also prevents the ManageWP WordPress website management dashboard service from being able to maintain the connection to the website. It flags the repeat “/wp-load.php?mwprid=[number stream]” “post_on_site:” events from ManageWP attempting to access the website as being spam.

    How can this be fixed?

Info: The latest updates are in place for WordPress, the theme, the plugins, Chrome, Firefox, and Windows 10 Pro. The WordPress database was optimized today (and is so frequently). Shared hosting on NameCheap.

Disregard. I noticed that the site was using PHP v7.4. I updated it to the current one, and the issue disappeared.

Well, the problem is back again. I’ve tried PHO v8.1, 8.2 and 8.3. I’ve whitelisted the event type. But it’s still not allowing access by ManageWP. When I deactivate the GDPR plugin, ManageWP access is restored.

[UPDATE] I followed Matthias’ recommendation and switched over to Explicit Mode. I temporarily enabled Direct Analysis Mode and Analysis, then submitted a form. I chose the related form event in the Analytic Box to have enhanced spam checking. Then I disabled Direct Analysis Mode and Analysis.

So now, in Explicit Mode, the plugin is checking for spam form submissions using Thrive Architect forms and isn’t blocking ManageWP access.

Thanks for the Assist Matthias! I appreciate it.
