Managing CTP from Edit page

    Hi everyone, I have a question that it probably has been asked but I didn’t have any luck searching for an answer.

    Currenty I have a CPT called Slides that handles the main Carousel of my Home page. But that Custom Post Types has it’s own section on the admin sidebar, which is fine for me but It could be confusing to the client since it’s only a section of the home page.
    My question is: how I can get the Custom Post Type to be edited only from the Edit Page so I don’t have it separated. From the settings I thought that “Show in Menu” was the setting I needed but it didn’t do anything, I filled the field with the name of my file (page-home.php) but it didn’t work.

    In case it isn’t clear, here is what I want to have.

    If I’m following correctly, you want to be able to edit the slide content for each slide, from the one editor screen in your screenshot? The Inicio page?

    If accurate, I can definitely say that CPTUI doesn’t have anything that would facilitate that type of functionality. On top of that, I do not know how I’d go about trying to achieve that as a whole, as it’d be a hefty amount of custom development work, from what I can picture as is.

    Yes I think you got it right. Since the Custom Post Type “Slide” it’s a part of my Index page, I thought it would make sense to edit that Custom Post Type directly from the Edit Page instead of having separated. but I get your answer, I didn’t thought about the difficulty of achieving it. Thanks for you answer Michael.

    For now I’m using the Hierarchy plugin which groups Custom Post Types under their parent pages (as a shortcut).
