Managing the Home page

    Hi, guys
    need some help with the main page.
    when i write a post and choose a category for it, i would save it and then publish it. The post would appear on its category page as well as on the home page. How can i stop posts from publishing on the home page, i want them just on the category page i choose for them.

    any help appreciated

  • Create page template, choose page template made in write-page template dropdown, publish it, and set it as your home page in Setting > Readings — Front page displays … the name of page
    OR
    Create home.php and style it as you want it in HTML and in style.css and upload home.php and revised style.css to theme folder. home.php has front page hierarchy over index.php ergo you don’t need to change reading settings like above.
