• I tried to access my admin and was blocked by a page that said the following….

    “Database Update Required
WordPress has been updated! Before we send you on your way, we have to update your database to the newest version.
The update process may take a little while, so please be patient.”

I did the update, and my site went down with errors in the “WP-Options table”. I did a DB repair, and was able to access my backend, but basically all of the content was gone. So, I loaded an old version of the DB, which brought the content back, but now I face the same Database Update Required page from above. (as expected)

I can’t access my admin page at all, and I don’t know what the last version of WP installed on it is. What should I do next??

  • Try to install some old version of wp on your own computer using some server like wampserver. Load the Old version into it. Open the wp admin panel, export your content and import it on your official website.

If you don’t know the version of wp the database came, you can try all of it starting from the newer.
