Mandatory fields and confirming email is correct

Hi All,

I’m using Contact form 7 to build contact us form and discovered that mandatory fields are NOT mandatory!

Any ideas?

<input type=”text” name=”your-name” placeholder=”Name*” required /><input type=”text” name=”your-email” placeholder=”Email*” required /><input type=”text” name=”your-subject” placeholder=”Subject*” required />[textarea your-message 40×10 “your message here …”]
[submit “Say Hello!”]

And is there a way to validate the email address on entry?
