Manipulate numbers entered into text field?

  • Is it possible to extract numbers entered into a field and manipulate them and then spit out the output in a form in WordPress?

    For example, if a prompt asked me how many hours I spent reading WP forums per day, could I take the inputted number, show it on a page and then take the same number, run it through some calculations, and then spit something out on another page saying, “In one year, you would have spent X hours on the forums.”?
