Dear Plugin Author. Thank you very much for this plugin. I like the technical approach you have realized. Regarding the overlay text I have some questions.

Is there any way to manipulate the overlay text? I have seen the amount of filter in the documentation of the plugin (really great), but I have no idea, what filter to choose and how to use them.

What I want to do? Example YouTube. I want to manipulate the string “Hier klicken, um den Inhalt von YouTube anzuzeigen. Erfahre mehr in der Datenschutzerkl?rung von YouTube.” Meaning showing a different text with the link to the data privacy statement. In the plugin settings I can only change/define the first sentence.

In addition I want to remove the checkbox and label “Inhalt von YouTube immer anzeigen”. Is this possible?

    Thank you very much!
    Marco

    Hi @unmus,

you can edit the text for every embed provider under Settings > Embed Privacy > Manage embeds. There you can edit every registered embed provider and adjust the text to your liking.

Regarding the checkbox: There is no built-in way to remove that, but you could achieve this using CSS to hide it.

    Best regards,

    Matthias

Thank you for fast reply. I have see the option to maintain the first sentence in the plugin settings. That is fine. But what about the second sentence “Erfahre mehr in der?Datenschutzerkl?rung?von YouTube.” including the Link? The link itself is also maintainable in the plugin settings. But there is no option to define the words before and after. Do you have an filter for that?

No, this sentence in particular cannot be changed. You would need to filter the whole content and replace what you don’t want: https://epiph.yt/en/embed-privacy/documentation/#embed_privacy_content

Okay. Using a filter to change the output is fine for me. I will try it out with the filter you have proposed. Thank you again for fast reply.
