Manual backup freezes and scheduled backup does not start

    Hi,

    I try using the “backup now” function.

    But every time I initiate the command, the backup freezes a quarter of the way, and the messagereads:

    “next resumption: 1 (after – xxxxs)”

    My scheduled backups are also inconsistent. They happen once every few days rather than ever day.

    I have the latest version 1.22.8 installed.

    How would you recommend I solve this issue?

    Hi,

    Can you please update to latest version 1.22.10? Also, can you reduce the archive split size to 100mb or 50mb? To do this, open the ‘expert settings’ section of the UpdraftPlus Settings tab, and find the ‘split backups every’ option. Then run a test backup and see if you get the same result.

    Hey Bryle,

    Thanks for the advice.

    I reduced the archive split size to 100mb and 50mb as advised (I tried both).

    The backups now seem to run partially-successfully.

    Under each backup I see the words (not complete).

    Is there anything else I should be doing?

    Hi,

    If issue persists, please ask your host/server admin to increase your server resources such as I/O limit, site memory and maximum_execution_timeout.
