    Hi!
    Just installed this plugin on 2 sites tonight. First one all good. On the second one (same host), the manual DB back up fails. I get this message:

    “DB Backup failed. Please check the permissions of the backup directory.”

    Permissions are 755, same as other writable folders in the wp-content folder and on the site where it doesn’t fail.

    As per your answer to a similar question in this forum, I turned on debugging and yes the log file is being written to. Here is the log: (I’ve hidden the user folder name)

    [08/11/2017 8:05 AM] – SUCCESS : DB Backup – Deleting all but 5 latest backup file(s) in /home/******/public_html/sunshinecoast-trail.com/wp-content/aiowps_backups directory.
    [08/11/2017 8:05 AM] – FAILURE : AIOWPSecurity_Backup::write_db_backup_file – get_row returned NULL for table: wp_evr_options
    [08/11/2017 8:05 AM] – FAILURE : AIOWPSecurity_Backup::execute_backup – Write to DB backup file failed
    [08/11/2017 8:05 AM] – FAILURE : DB Backup – Backup operation failed!

    Any idea why?
    Thank you in advance!

    Hi, do both site have the same plugins? Are you using other security plugins?

    Hi – different plugins are being used on the different sites, some overlap. Only other security related plugins are Anti-Spam by CleanTalk and Email Address Encoder. The site having the problem is also using: ACF, ACF Nav Menu Field, Column Shortcodes, Comet Cache, Contact Form 7, Contact Form DB, Contact Form DB Editor, Display Posts Shortcode, Easy FancyBox, Manual Image Crop, MCE Table Buttons, Meta Slider, mobble, NextGEN Gallery, NK Google Analytics, Page-list, Regenerate Thumbnails, and Yoast SEO. Using a child theme of Twenty Thirteen.
    Hosting company checked permissions, changed one in a higher level folder, but still getting the error.

    Hi, lets try a process of elimination.

    Can you disable all of your other plugins except this one. Then carry out a manual db backup. If it works then you know that there is a conflict with one of your other plugins.

    Start enabling one by one the other plugins and at the same time carry out a manual db backup every time you enable one of the other plugins. Do this until you come across the conflicting plugin.

    Report back with the outcome.

    Thank you
