    Hi Support,

I’ve been searching (Google, BackWPup website, this Support Forum) for details about the Advanced Scheduler settings but could not find anything.

    Am I missing something?

    Cheers, Frank

The Advanced Scheduler works just like how Cron system work, you can check more info about Cron here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cron
    I hope that could help!

    Hi duongcuong96,

    thanks for the reply.

I am not a Cron expert (far from that) and to understand the settings this needs some learning for me. I am ok with that.

But as I am sure that I am not alone maybe users would appreciate some explanation in the GUI for the “Advanced” option for “Schedule execution time”. Right now it is more a try and error approach for Cron dummies like me.

A short example like this would be really helpful: What would the settings be for a backup run each Monday and Thursday at 2:00 am?

I have the feeling that this would be enough already.

    Cheers, Frank

The setting would be like this: https://i.imgur.com/DUGpTWZ.png

You can also copy the corn schedule expression and paste it on crontab.guru to validate if the corn really run as expected ^^

To know more about the Cron Expression, you can do a few searches, BackWPUp also already linked a wiki post about it here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cron#CRON_expression
