Manual (FTP) restore using database back up

    Trying to upgrade to WP 5 from WP 4, i now cannot access my admin page of the site.

    I have the Db backups from All in One Security, but i cannot find the correct way to restore the database via FTP access.

    Can you assist please?

    All,

    Ok i have got past this process now, by disabling a couple of plugins.

    I disabled (renamed) W3 Total Cache as it appeared to be linked with the upgrade issues in the first place.

    Then the All in one security plugin stopped me from signing on as the captcha feature must have been impacted by removal of the cache plugin somehow…not sure how or why, now i am locked out of my site if this plugin is allowed to run.
