Manual Move Staging – Live?

    Hello,

    Are there specific database settings via PHP My Admin that need to be updated once I manually move the staging site to the “live” version?

    Here are the steps I was going to take…

    1. Remove and replace “current” wp-content/plugins/, wp-content/themes, /wp-content/uploads folders with “staging” files
    2. Find and replace paths in the database via WordPress Admin (ie.. “/blog/staging” to “/blog”)
    3. direct wp-config file to staging prefix
    4. disable/uncheck “discourage search engines” from indexing
    5. Change staging prefixes to custom prefixes

    Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much

    When you push a staging site to live manually, you will also need to replace domain in the urls of the staging site in the database with the domain of the live site. Then after the push, remove the orange bar (staging attribute) by deleting the option ‘wpvivid_staging_data’ in the options table in the database.

    It is recommended to make a full backup of both the staging and the live sites before doing the push.

    Btw, the recommended way to push a staging site to live is to use the option ‘Copy the staging site to live’ in the plugin.

    Thanks so much for the reply. I do not see the option “Copy the staging site to live”. Is this only available for the “Pro” version?
