• Hi,
    1. When I put the bulk upload function it stopps after creating MP3 for aroundt 130 Posts. Is there a limit for the uploads on daily or monthly basis?
Does it continue later on or recreate all posts again and again?

    2. What would be the code to put the player manually in a template on the place where I need it?

    Thanks for your help!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi
    1) I will need to refresh the bulk functionality – there might be some problems there.
    2) You could check in source code of your post page how the player is being generated currently – in short it is simple audio HTML tag with link to your audio file (the audio file has got ID of your post) – so in short you should be able to create your own logic for presenting your own player (I saw that some people have implemented something similar) – but I don’t have any example. Sorry.

    Hi,
after not getting an answer here I hit the bulk update button more often, realizing the plugin continously creates files. I have around 3.000 texts, each with an average of 5.000 character.
Then a got a bill from amazon f0r 10 Mio characters because the plugin creates every time a new mp3 a post is updated and that is not clear in the description, AWS told me that.

So does it just create new files (I save them on my server) or overwrite the existing files?
Is there a way to disable this autoupdate function?
Because otherwise I just have to disable the plugin and, when you update the bulk function, to create mp3 for all posts at once.

BTW: The Podcast was rejected in Itunes and Alexa, so actually a lot of features don’t work.

    Thank you for your help.

    Hi,
The plugin creates a new audio file when you create or update the post. This is because you are updating the post – so you might be modifying the content of the post – so audio needs to reflect the latest version of the text content.

There is currently no way to disable creation again of the audio file when updating the post. And to be honest there was never such a requirement from anybody before – because like I said, usually people want to make the audio 100% match updated text.

I’m sorry for the trouble, and if this wasn’t clear – I will add information about this to the plugin description. I have seen your ticket – and I’m happy that support was able to help you.

Regarding your last comment, what was the reason of rejections?

    Cheers,
    Tomasz

    Hi thanks,
I wouldn’t say that there is no requirement for that:
Please consider most people don’t even realize this issue, because they don’t get a bill from AWS and so they never get in touch with AWS Customer Service, who then explained me the problem.

The problem is: Sometimes I just change one character, very often I just change tags or date or something. I don’t want to pay everytime on Amazon for that…

Alexa must have been a language problem, the more important Itunes didn’t give me any specific reason, leading me to this page: https://help.apple.com/itc/podcasts_connect/#/itc8a10a0c56

Anyway, I have to disable the plugin until you resolved the bulk upload and change-on-update issue, just using it from time to time.

Would be glad if you could find solutions for both soon, becaus my plan was to create mp3 files from all posts in the 12 Month I still can use it for free. Thank you.

    Hi,
I will add possibility to ‘deactivate’ generating new audios in case of updating the post – I don’t have any dates, but I would like to do it in next 2-3 months. Thx for suggestion.

Regarding second thing, it doesn’t say exactly what is the problem – so I won’t be able to help here. Sorry :/

    Cheers,
    Tomasz
