Manual redirect being ignored

    Hi…!

    I’m probably doing something wrong but I put in a manual redirect to point old-school homepage links to the real homepage. It’s a 301 set up in 404 Solution. as you can see it’s still just going to the generic 404 page. is there some setting I might’ve goofed up?

    Hey,

    If you go to the setting page, under Advanced Settings Etc there’s an option to turn on Debug Logging. If you turn that on, try visiting the URL again, and then look at the debug log (there a “View Debug Log” link next to where you turned it on), then there will be some information there about what happened with the 404 plugin.

    After doing that then you can copy the last few pages of the debug log into pastebin.com, scroll down on pastebin.com and click on “Create New Paste” after pasting the log content. Then paste the URL that’s created here, so I can see your log file. I can tell you whether the URL you visited is being interpreted.

    Also please include not only the URL you are visiting, but also the URL that you expect to be redirected to. As a reminder, if the URL you’re visiting already exists then no redirection will happen because the plugin only redirects 404s and there won’t be one if the page exists.
