manual translations not showing

Hi!
I have the plugin up and running on Pinboard. All steps successful, but still unable to see translations on my page.

What I have done so far:

Activate plugin
Add new language Fr. Canadian
scan plugin (i.e. contact forms)
edit english text to french manually and save
generate mo-file
…..and then checked for translation on the contact form that is on my site already. No translations showed up. Also, I have previously add some translations manually within the plugin. Not sure if this will cause a problem with your plugin.
???? Am I missing something.
