• I have noticed similar posts but none that really have the same problem.

    When i edit a post, in my editor it looks great. text nicely spaced around images, when i save it, the code seems to change. the spacing around the picture does not stay. i go into the editor and add <br> tags before/after the picture. changes are visible in the editor. save. refresh page. pages do not change at all. go back to the editor, the code i added manually is gone. is there some sort of setting that would allow manually added code to stay?

    Another problem is that when i add a link to an image within a post, the code of that image tag is always changed to include the first part of my domain, hence, making the link not work, giving me a dead image….

    any ideas?? thanks!

  • turn off thr wysiwtg editor
    admin -> users -> scroll to bottom left
    uncheck the box for “WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically”
    admin -> options -> writing

    Do it again in edit and it will stay fixed this time.

    My friend thank you for the tip. I do not have this option though. I am using Version 2.0 of WordPress, perhaps that option is available in another version.

    Thanks though.

    Samboll had a small goof.

    Try Options -> Writing for the invalid correcting (turn it off).

    Try Users -> Your Profile, scroll to the bottom to disable wysiwyg (aka visual rich editor).
