Usually this is caused by a conflict with a script in another plugin or the theme. Can you open the javascript console on your browser, and see if there are any error messages in red? There are instructions here, if you are not familiar with the console:
How to open the javascript console

If no errors are listed, you may need to try disabling other plugins temporarily, and see if it works then. (If we find which plugin conflicts, it may be able to be fixed either by the other plugin or Wordfence, depending on the problem.)

Also, are other features in Wordfence working normally, and has the IP blocking ever worked previously?

Here is the message from the javascript console: “Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found)”

I did disable all other plugins, which made no difference. While other plugins disabled, I deactivated Wordfence and then activated it, which made no difference. Still not able to lock out from login. I can manually add to “IPs that are blocked from accessing the site”.

On Wordfence>Live Traffic – I can click on “Block this IP” and it will switch to “Unblock this IP”, but those IPs never appear in the Blocked IPs page.

    Everything else seems to work.

Ok, I see — on the “IPs that are Locked Out from Login” tab, IPs are only added automatically to that list when a visitor breaks a rule. You can only block IPs that are already listed there when they appear, but the “Manually block IP” button above that will only add IPs to the first tab, “IPs that are blocked from accessing the site” no matter which tab you are on.

For being unable to block from the Live Traffic view — can you try blocking one on that page too, and see if anything appears in the javascript console? These blocks are temporary, so if you want them to be permanent, you would have to go to the Blocked IPs page shortly after, and click the “make permanent” link.

The 404 error in the screenshot is helpful, but shouldn’t cause this problem (it’s from trying to get a flag image for a blocked IP that has no country listed), so I will put in a separate bug report for that. Thanks!
