Manually Create Missing Donations

  • Hi Support,

    We had a ticket PayPal 401 Unauthorized Token that you gave me the resolution for – thank you.

    However whilst that issue existed we have had 3 Donations that were made via PayPal that never created a Donation on the site.

    Each time a PayPal donation was created it Created an Error in the logs which is handly. And the Error Log is exactly the same for the Donations that did register in the GiveWP system – as it is for the 3 that did not.

    The money is in the client’s PayPal account and it has left the Donors account – it just did not create the donation on the site at all.

    My question is now that the Unauthorized Token issue is resolved

    Is there a way that I manually create the missing Donations so it shows on the Donation card on the frontend and in the system on the back end?

    Hi Guys,

    Just as a follow-up – I probably should have mentioned that while no donation was created on the site when the Donation was made via a Donation Card – the Donor was created.

    See the Screenshot below – the Donor was created at the time of the Donation – but no amount was recorded.

    My client would really like to ‘recover’ the Donations so they can show them on the Donation Card Totals. If we can manually create the donations is there a way to edit the number of donations and the Total Donated that show on the cards?

    When our users need to add a manual donation, we encourage them to use our Manual Donations add-on.

    The Manual Donations Add-on allows you to enter new Donations through your WordPress Dashboard. This add-on is not designed to actually charge donors’ cards/accounts but to add donations to reconcile donations that already exist elsewhere and need to be added to your site. This article walks you through the steps to adding those manual donations.

    Thanks for getting back to me. I have read the doc that you linked to, and would be happy to buy the Manual Donations add on – except it does not do the 1 thing we want it to do – update the donors card on the frontend.

    That’s a shame.
